Top 20 Senior: Ahn Tran

By Nik Schnebly

Ahn Tran was a busy bee in her high school career…

…being apart of National Honor Society, part of Tri-M Music Honor Society and advanced orchestra, while also keeping busy during the summer volunteering at her church.

Tran believes that one of the more unique things she did in high school  would be how she studied by doing her homework twice. Even  though it sometimes meant that she was at the butt end of her peers’ jokes, she knew many found it respectable.

Ahn Tran is heavily influenced by her father whose strong morals, and ability to be a slight pain, helped to turn her into a good person.

Tran won’t stop her busy school career, after graduation she plans on going to college at the University of Colorado- Denver over the summer to finish as soon as possible so that she can begin her medical career. It won’t be all work as she plans to reconnects with childhood friends who will be going to school with her.

Tran has a few pet peeves, like people talking during a movie, or people blasting music with their windows down, but one of her biggest pet peeves is being criticized, especially when she was right in the first place.

Tran says that her senior quote, and a little advice to people, would be “Just be yourself,”  because so many people worry about what others think about them. Tran also wishes that she could have been more involved in the school, that she could have taken art classes. Sadly her busy AP schedule didn’t allow for this.

Tran believes that her best quality is staying true to herself. This means honoring her Asian heritage, which she does by enjoying Vietnamese cuisines and watching traditional Asian movies, including Korean dramas, anime and action movies.
