Sophia Fernald is definitely deserving of being a top-twenty senior seeing as how she is at the top of her class.
She is not only ranked third in her class, she has a 3.95 unweighted GPA and she has an ACT score of 33. Not only has she taken and passed many AP tests with flying colors, but she has also managed to achieve accomplishments including highest 9th grade CSAP reading score in 2011. Not only does she knock it out of the park in the classroom, but she also knocks it out of the park on the track. She has lettered in track and cross country all four years on the Farm.
But running and studying isn’t all this Farmer can do; she is also a piano player a hobby she picked up in 2005 and yet her abilities don’t even stop there, she has played guitar since 2008. In her time on the Farm this young lady has been a part of many clubs, including National Honor Society in which she is this year’s vice-president. This year she was also in Philosophy Club and was a National Merit Finalist.
For her future she is interested in English and Law. She plans to attend the University of Oklahoma on a National Merit Scholarship. Her dream is to complete a law degree and achieve a doctorate degree in English. She has a great future ahead of her because of how hard she has worked for it during high school.
