Max Sweeney has defined his high school years by exemplary academic as well as athletic achievement.
He has played soccer and has been on the swim team for his entire high school career.
He also works as a lifeguard and loves to ski in his free time. His leadership skills are displayed in the fact that he was the captain of the swim team his senior year.
The giving blood that pulsates through his veins compels him to carry out acts of charity. His ownership of the haunted house
the Glen Manor perfectly displays his selflessness and last year raised over 500 dollars to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. He also states that if he had one wish he would, “Wish for cancer to have never existed. Coming from a family impacted by cancer, I do not want anyone else to ever feel the effects of cancer as mine has.” Possessing a zen-like energy, Max is able to maintain a positive outlook on life even in times of sorrow.
He has loved his relationships with the teachers at Wheat Ridge saying, “I won’t have relationships with teachers anywhere again like I did at Wheat Ridge. This is something that can’t be priced.” Thanks to his impressive academic achievement Sweeney has made it into Colorado school of Mines where in the field of mechanical engineering with a specialty in automotives and robotics. This will put him on the path to achieve his dream of becoming a Disney Imagineer. He is currently in the enrollment process for Disney College. He will be able to help design the rides and the park if his dream is fulfilled, and it would be super sweet.
He plans to spend his summer lifeguarding at Splash Park, going to concerts, and spending 2 weeks in Florida for vacation. Sweeney appreciates the never ending support he gets from his family, saying, “I love each and every one of them and they have helped me get to the point of where I am now!”
